A woman seduced by a minister
Deuteronomy 22: 23 - 24: If a damsel that is a virgin be betrothed unto an husband, and a man find her in the city, and lie with her; Then ye shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die; the damsel, because she cried not, being in the city; and the man, because he hath humbled his neighbour's wife: so thou shalt put away evil from among you.
Deuteronomy means “two laws”; it represents the Law of Moses (death) and Grace (life). The scripture which we are about to examine has a powerful application for this age because a woman in the Bible represents a church; she can represent the false church (like Jezebel for example), or she can represent the true church (like Ruth for example). The woman in question here in Deuteronomy 22 was a virgin; she had not yet received the seed of any man.
This particular woman was a virgin betrothed (engaged) to a man. The Bridegroom is the Lord Jesus Christ; He is a gentleman, He will not force Himself upon any woman. His Holy Spirit has a gentle nature like a dove, and that is why a Christian must be sensitive in every situation to know what is pleasing to the LORD and what is not pleasing to Him, lest He (the Holy Spirit) take His flight for a season.
God has chosen the virgin Bride; She has not been previously defiled by another man. The seed that She is to receive represents the Word of God, because the spoken Word is the original seed; by It were all things created. William Branham (Malachi 4: 5) was the marriage celebrant who married the Bridegroom (Christ) to the Bride, but yet there are men who so want to sow their seed into the LORD’S beautiful Wife.
These men are ministers; they are supposed to be eunuchs, which means that they are not to have any seed (teaching) of their own (Matthew 19: 12 says: For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother’s womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.). These men are false anointed one’s (false Christ’s; Matthew 24: 5), yet they use their influential “ministries” to sow deception into a woman that was espoused to Christ.
The woman represents churches that were walking in the pure light of the Gospel, but one day a minister came and brought a message contrary to scripture (he twisted the Word) and put the woman (church) into a downward spiral which resulted in her losing her spiritual virginity. The unfortunate thing about this scenario is that the minister subtly forced himself upon the woman and she did not scream out in protest to the unfolding rape. The woman therefore is a harlot because she allowed false doctrine to strip off her Holy Ghost garment, and she made herself naked for whatever the minister had in store because it seemed so “good”.
Genesis 3: 1 - 5: Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
The serpent and his teaching caused humanity to fall from faith to wisdom. Eve was a virgin, she was betrothed to Adam, but the Serpent came to her and sowed his seed inside her, and she did not resist him. The reason why so many “churches” (women) have become ensnared by false doctrine is because ministers came and presented error (twisted scriptures), and the congregations (including the pastors) swallowed it all up, and did not at any time suspect that they were being raped over and over again. Because these churches have not protested such ministries, the LORD will punish both the ministers and those churches.
The rape happened in the city according to Deuteronomy. This is an age wherein the world is interconnected via a communications network. We live in a global village, which means that the cries of an endangered woman (church) can be heard by other women (churches) and other men (ministers). A church that has just heard error preached should protest such error and notify other churches and pastors of the danger it is facing so that it will receive help from those churches and pastors to cast out the man (minister) who is attempting to sow corrupt doctrinal seed into that woman. Email and telephone are two examples by which the cries of a woman can be heard by others. If the woman chooses to remain silent, then she is as guilty as the man who raped her.
